Getting Comfortable with Difficult Things

You’ve likely heard Jason and I say, Pick your hard. Life is hard, and often we are fortunate enough to pick which hard we want.

  • It’s hard to do BD, but it’s also hard to be broke. Pick your hard.
  • It’s hard to be in shape, but it’s also hard to be overweight. Pick your hard.

Let’s relate this to time.

  • Short term easy is long term hard.
  • Short term hard is long term easy.

Read those again. If I take the easy path today, the future is going to be harder. But if I choose the more difficult path today, the future will be easier.

We all have things we’re putting off. Things which we know we should be doing, but somehow we’re able to justify not doing it today. Think about the things causing you stress. It might be in your business or in your personal life. Likely, as you’re reading this, something has come to mind.

Make a commitment to start that project today. It’s Sunday, and your whole week will be better if you can identify the thing you’re avoiding and take action on it today. You can do anything for one hour. Send me an email and tell me what you got done today.
