About Jason Thibeault

Jason grew up in a log cabin in the woods with a fireplace for heat and no paved roads. No cable TV either. His entertainment was a Commodore VIC-20, a stack of books, and whatever he could draw, take apart, or build. (Tinkering was a thing!) That early mix of isolation, curiosity, and rebuilding never left.

He started college aiming for space. Physics pivoted into philosophy, where his natural talent for logic led him to begin teaching it while still a student. Physics, philosophy, psychology all show the same probing to understand..

As an officer, Jason became a figurative rocket in what was then Air Force Space Command. Perfect scores in all areas led to rapid advancement and ultimately an offer to teach philosophy at the Academy.  Civilian life was just as rapid, and he rose from night shift supervisor up four levels to plant manager in four years.

He eventually brought that same systems mindset into recruiting, training, speaking, and coaching. His career became less about titles and more about helping people think more clearly, make better decisions, and build stronger businesses and better, happier lives.

Jason’s defining trait is the one that started in that cabin: relentless curiosity. He believes life gets easier, and more interesting, when you understand how things work — whether that’s a machine, a market, or a mind.

Jason’s style for recruiting is refreshing and forthright. Jason asked all the right questions and answered all the questions I had for him. From first contact to last, dealing with Jason was a real pleasure, he worked hard to get me to the next level. I appreciate Jason’s enthusiasm, hard work and professionalism.

I’ve spent nearly a decade working with some of the strongest recruiting specialists in the industry and Jason Thiebeult is by far one the foremost experts in our space. His ability to communicate cutting edge sourcing techniques along with proven recruiting processes was instrumental in helping take my business to the next level. Not only is Jason highly passionate about his work, he also is a really great person.

Question: Can you recommend someone that is an expert trainer in internet search techniques for the recruiting industry? Google Search: “rock star” trainer “boolean logic” “(esourcing OR “e-sourcing”) (training OR program OR webinar)” (“black magic” OR hacker OR genius OR expert) -boring -dull ~amazing Results: Tricia Tamkin, ECRE and Jason Thibeault, ECRE

Cara Houshmand, MPA

Career Coach

I highly recommend Tricia and Jason’s eSSentials: An Intro to eSourcing. It is much more than Boolean searching and they delve into the why’s and how behind it so you walk away with a deep understanding and ability to effectively put all of the information together. I was finding better candidates after week 1, 4 sessions later and I am routinely finding those “purple squirrels” in less time that it used to find mediocre candidates. Jason’s ability to break things down and calmly explain them was invaluable– he really is the “Professor of eSorcery.”

Sam Watterson

Manager, Business Development & Marketing

Jason is an expert in his field. More importantly, Jason is willing to share his expertise – and he does so in a clear, understandable way. On more than once occasion, Jason went out of his way to help me reach some of my company goals. Because of Jason, I believe I am a more efficient recruiter.

Todd Galbraith

Director of Tax, Corporate and Americas (ABS)

Jason took the time to get to know ME, not only learning about my skills and experience, but also about my personal interests, my goals, and what motivates me. Jason quickly became a trusted advisor that I was very comfortable talking with. He conducted himself throughout the process of my placement with the utmost professionalism, candor, and enthusiasm. I have already recommended Jason to several of my colleagues. You’ll quickly learn through a phone conversation with him that he cares about you and listens intently to what you have to say.

John Schlegel

CEO @ Stonebridge Search | Expert in Financial Advisory Executive Search & Exit Planning

I was blown away by Jason’s insane knowledge of how to create lists of relevant names for searches through advanced internet research techniques. And this is all without making one cold call. Amazing! I highly recommend Jason to anyone in the search business who is struggling to consistently or quickly produce great names for their searches. This is especially for that individual that thinks they already know all of the latest and greatest techniques. Bottom line, as Jason will show you, you don’t. He does.

Jonathan Watson

Senior Customer Service Clerk at Houston Public Library

I took the Morgan Consulting Introduction to eSourcing with Jason. I have to say that Jason is a master educator. His dedication to both the curriculum and his students is second to none. He posesses both that golden ability in a trainer to explain seemingly complex concepts in a clear, concise manner and absolute mastery of the subject matter.

Tricia Tamkin

Partner @ Moore eSSentials | 30+ yrs in executive search, recruiter coach, speaker, and AI pioneer for recruiting teams

I have been an expert in search and eSourcing for decades, so when Jason and I first started working together, I showed him the ropes. He took what I taught him and then increased my ability to write effective strings by 30% after only having a year of experience. His brain works like a computer, yet he has the communication skills and personality to enable him to be an amazing recruiter and trainer. I’m privileged to have a partner in my ongoing quest for continued knowledge, and feel lucky to work with him each day. Any client would be fortunate to have him accept a search, and all students will find his teaching style to be extremely effective.

Gregory Todesco

Sector Leader, Professional Search - North American Natural Resources: Oil & Gas | Mining & Metals

Jason has a great ability to teach what he knows in a clear and concise approach. In his leadership he scanned the attendees to ensure he was not progressing too quickly, or slowly. In working with many people across many industries as a recruiter, I do not often come in contact with other peope who listen first, then process what they heard and then respond. Jason does this efforlessly and effectivley. If you have an opportunity to interact with Jason, as a client, candidate, student or colleague I highly reccomend you do so.
